Riverside 5000 Awards
Open Race ages 19 & up – An award will be given to the top 3 in every standard USATF age group (Ages 19 & up) as well as clydesdale and filly categories. We almost always use running socks and certificates for these awards.
We also pay the top 3 masters runners (WMA conversion) in each gender.
1st $100
2nd $75
3rd $50
Open Race ages 18 & under – We’ll be revisiting how we do registration for the 18 & Under race, so check back. In the past we have used endorousa.com this year and they use grades, not ages in the registration process. So, best case I can try to get my timing software to do grades like 5th & under, 6-8 & 9-12 in separate groups. Otherwise there will be no awards in this race other than top 3 in each gender.
Elite Race – Prize $ to the top 5 males & top 5 females for sure. We will add additional spots if sponsorships and registration comes through for us. No age conversions. We will not pay prize $ to any of the school-aged runners who are racing for free and any runner with collegiate eligibility can only win up to their entry fee. If a collegiate runner finishes in the $ we will bump down the prize $ to the next eligible runner. We don’t do any age group awards in this race.
1st $500
2nd $250
3rd $150
4th $100
5th $50
Fine Print: Men have to finish under 17:00 and women have to finish under 20:00 to get prize $ for a top 5 place. We usually don’t have any issues there, but just in case.
Grand Total of $2,550 in prize money.
