Registration for 2015 is open at www.GetMeRegistered.com/JenksHalf5K.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Jenks Half this year – runners, volunteers, spectators. We couldn’t have done it without you. Results can be found at Jenks Half 35 Results.
Back for its 36th running, the Jenks Half will start at 8 am on Saturday November 7 at the Jenks Track. We’re using the same course as last year, starting just north of the track and baseball field and finishing with three quarters of a lap around the track. In between the course will take you past Jones Airport on 91st Street, across I-75 west to 33rd West Avenue, then north to 81st, back east to Union, south to 91st and then around the behind the airport on 81st for that long stretch home. The course is not closed to vehicular traffic. Intersections are controlled, but there will be vehicles on the course. Runners need to be aware of the traffic and use good judgment. Headphones are strongly discouraged. You must be able to hear race personnel, police and cars around you. The Finish Line will be open for 3 hours from the start of the Half. We will also have a 5K running while the Half Marathoners are taking their tour of the Jenks countryside. The 5K will start at 8:15 am and will also finish on the track. Cost for the Half is $40 through November 1 and $50 November 2 through Race Day. The 5K is $20 through November 1, and $25 November 2 through Race Day.
Parking is available south of the track off of F Street.
Here’s what you can expect at the race:
- Long Sleeve technical tees (guaranteed to first 500 registered runners)
- Finisher medals for the Half
- Overall, Age Group and Clydesdale/Filly awards for both races
- Refreshments after the race
- Accurate timing
- A beautiful course through the rolling hills west of Jenks
